We're still waiting on that elusive chair (custom upholstered, it's gonna be another 3 or 4 weeks), but more progress has been made on the nursery. See it here before it we sell the rights to

We snagged this cool shelf at Land of Nod. The photo isn't really centered, so you can't see the Ugly Doll (Uppy) or the two stuffed mice sitting atop the shelf. The reason for this seemingly egregious error is that directly above the shelf is the baby name in red wooden letters. That mystery shall be revealed any day now, quite literally. Never has a mystery captivated a nation like this since Angela Lansbury left the airwaves. We miss you Angela. 
These two red and pink wall canvases are from the good Swedes at Ikea. We needed something for the long wall on the left hand side of the room, and these ridiculously affordable pieces fit the bill. They go with the room's red/pink/brown aesthetic, which is also the color scheme that I go for with nearly every outfit in my wardrobe. 
Our other Ikea purchase was this white nightstand, which was easy to assemble, even though it was from Ikea. Maybe I'm just getting more handy with stuff like that. On second thought, it's like a 4 piece nightstand...I'm probably getting ahead of myself and need to be taken down a peg or two. Anyway, we just need a lamp for this badboy and we're in business.
