HHH Cribs

Week 31
No picture of the bump!

So yeah, we're totally slacking on the baby bump pics over here...we do, however, have some pics of the nursery in progress...please note, this is HIGHLY in progress so this is just a sneak peek!...Right now the old curtains are clashing, we need a bigger rug, to remove the guest bed and to add some other items that we've gotten for the room so it doesn't look like a big white box. But, we've got all the major things goin' on in case the kiddo decides to make an early appearance.

Here's a peek:

This week I'll be in exotic LaCrosse, Wisconsin for a *super-exciting* work conference while Ben deals with a publicity tour he set up for the movie "Amelia". Hopefully Hilary Swank and Oprah are not opposed to working with men that have full-on facial hair. Then, we're looking forward to a Michigan weekend escape for a well deserved getaway/belated fifth anniversary trip/"babymoon" of sorts. The baby is looking forward to staying at a bed and breakfast that serves popcorn and warm cookies in the evening. Mmm...

Rock a Buy Baby

KISS feeding set, pink and black plate, and a zebra print 'Rock Rebel' fleece/satin blanket, all courtesy of Broken Cherry, 1734 W. North Ave. One guess as to who picked this stuff out.

Pics of the slow developing (but very cool) baby nursery coming soon...

The Dad Beard Project - Day 21

Comments: Daddy's first trim. Courtesy of a newly purchased beard trimmer from Walgreens. Shaped up the jaw line and got rid of some of the unsightly scruff down by the Adam's apple. Also trimmed the chin area a little bit, as it was getting hairier than Fangorn Forest. Oh no, I did not just just make a Lord of the Rings reference! Oh yes I did!

Status: Dashingly Handsome

The Dad Beard Project - Day 16

Comments: It's actually filling in quite nicely now (relatively speaking); to the point where I can actually get away with referring to it as a "beard" and not just glorified peach fuzz. I've still got a ways to go, but the itching has now subsided and I'm looking forward to bigger and hairier times ahead.

Status: Respectable, yet still mockable

"Top this Handfelt! I've got a kick-ass beard, a busty blonde and blue ox eating ice cream! Suck it!"

The Dad Beard Project - Day 11

Comments: Starting to fill in towards the front, but the sides still have some catching up to do. It's not yet to the point where I can rub my chin thoughtfully, but it's getting there.

Status: Swarthy

"You call that a beard? Seriously? No seriously? My tan jacket can grow a better beard that that."

Drop the Blogspot and Pick Up the Lord

Today I registered the site under www.handfelthappyhour.com. Much easier to find and type than that .blogspot jazz. Bookmark it to your favorites.

Now if I could just figure out how to make the comments section a little more user friendly.

*Sonic Boom Week update: Purchased 2 copies from Wal Mart without incident. Early sales figures project it to be the strongest selling week of the band's career and have it vying for #1 against Oprah's sex kitten, Michael Buble. If Michael Buble comes out on top, the terrorists have won. Don't let this happen America.
